AfterStep 1.6 -> backgrounds replacing feels

I found a glitch in AfterStep1.6 
It surfaced for me when configured with --enable-fixeditems

When I would try to change the feel from the start menu I would
get a list of pixmaps instead of a list of feels.

AfterStep-1.6.0/src/afterstep/configure.c was found to be the
location of the glitch.
