Also /usr/local/bin should be in your PATH outside of AS, it will make you
more happy ;-)
Just set it in your ~/.bash_profile (when you use the bash) or in
/etc/profile for all users using the bash. Look for something like:
PATH=/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin
export PATH
and add a /usr/local/bin behind the other paths.
