different look&feel on differen desktops

Hi,

I have a Problem with the look and feel of different
desktops. As far as I understand it should be possible
to have a different look&feel for every desktop.
This doesn't work with my Sparc/Solaris 2.5/AS 15.beta4.
The look&feel only changes when I use update look&feel
(e.g. menu-entry QuickRestart "Update look and feel" look&feel).
