thanks for clearing that up for me. I've got something weird that
could be an afterstep source configuration issue:
When I quit afterstep using the "Quit->Exit" choice, any change I've
made to the look & feel is apparently saved somewhere, as when I start
up X/afterstart again, the look & feel is as it was when I Exited.
However, I can't seem to be able to figure out how to get the windows
to come back up the way they were-- the configure guide I've read says
this is saved into a file called .windows, but looking at the source,
I see in include/configure.h:
#define AFTER_SAVE "~/GNUstep/Library/AfterStep/.workspace_state"
and I've also commented out NO_SAVEWINDOWS and rebuilt:
/*#define NO_SAVEWINDOWS*/
...yet when I quit AfterStep .workspace_state isn't created, or
changed if it's there as an empty file. And there appears to be no
.windows file either (I have a feeling .workspace_state replaced
.windows at some point?)
any clues? thanks.
