! I'm just getting my feet wet with AfterStep and have read the FAQ and
! the configuration guide, yet can't figure out why I don't have the
! "Update Startmenu" option under "Start -> Quit". The startmenu itself
! I can only find on my system under
! ~/GNUstep/Library/AfterStep/non-configurable/tmp/startmenu -not under
! /usr/share/afterstep/* at all. Do I have a misconfiguration here?
!
! system is Linux RH5.1 with AfterStep-1.4.5.55N6 installed from tarred
! source.
The startmenu file is created from the (global)
/usr/share/afterstep/start or (local) ~/GNUstep/Library/AfterStep/start
dir tree. 1.4.5.55N6 has the (menu)->Quit->Update startmenu as the
default. Might you have upgraded and not mv'd over your existing
non-configurable/ dir? The file name which puts this entry is called
/usr/share/afterstep/start/Quit/9_updatestart .
