Installation Problem...

I'm having a problem installing AfterStep-1.4.5.55N6.  I am currently 
useing SuSE 5.2 linux with the stock kernal.  I have uncompressed the 
tar.gz file into the root directory.  I am also able to run the configure 
program effectivly (no errors).  My problem lies when I try to use 
xmkmf.  I seems to start out fine, but this is the output of the command:

	Imakefile.c:13 Imake.tmpl: No such file or directory
	Imake: Exit code 33.
	Stop

I just installed Linux today, and was instructed not to install Afterstep 
from the CD, rather to install the current version of AfterStep.  I have 
used Afterstep at work, and I really do love it...but I can't seem to get 
mine working.
