Start menu

I'm not able to modify my start menu. I'm running AfterStep 1.4.5.55.
I've tried adding another xterm listing to the start menu in my
~GNUstep/Library/AfterStep/start directory by copying the "X terminal"
file to a file called X-term. I just did this to make it easy to test
the modification of the start menu. I tried recycling AfterStep, and
that didn't modify the start menu. I shut X down and restarted X and
the modified start menu still didn't show up. Then I copied the X-term
file to all of the start directories that the AfterStep installation put
on my machine. I then restarted X and the menu still hasn't changed.
I've read the FAQ and the Configuration Helper web pages and haven't
found any other configuration files that I need to change. Is there
anything else besides adding and/or removing files to the start
directory that I need to do to change the start menu?
