Copy the startmenu file from
/usr/share/afterstep/non-configureable/tmp/startmenu to
~/G/L/A/non-configureable/tmp/startmenu 
Now you should have back _a_ startmenu with the default settings. Now you
have to update it again and you should be back in startmenu land.
