More info on 3d Text bug.

I upgraded my notebook to 1.5pre9 this afternoon and noticed right away
that the problem with overlapping characters did *not* occur on it.

The difference?  (Both machines use the same version of Slackware, X11,
etc.)  Apparently I either accidentally overlooked patch 04 on
the-site.dyn.ml.org, or it was deleted from there, because I had only
applied 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 on the notebook.
