xmkmf

Hello,
	I just downloaded AS and have been trying to install it.  But,
I've run into a problem.  As root I give the command ./configure and the
config file seems to work just fine.  But, when I give the command for the
next step "xmkmf" linux returns "xmkmf: command not found".  what am I
missing?  Did the configure file not compile correctly?  I would like to
run AS, but this is pretty frustrating.  Any suggestions?
