This isn't strictly on-topic; but it seems worth a response because of the
issues with TkStep, since so many people want to use TkStep with AS.
TkDesk, according to the Web page
http://people.mainz.netsurf.de/~bolik/tkdesk/
is not compatible with Tk 8.0. Since the new TkStep works with 8.0, I
think they'll be incompatible.
TkStep was once compatible with Tk 7.5; that version may still be floating
around. TkDesk 1.0 is supposed to be able to compile against Tk 7.5,
although I don't know of anyone who managed to do it (I couldn't).
