I am happy with all that has taken place. 1) Sym-links solve (for
those that it bothers); 2) multiple config files (should) help the
beginner AS'r; 3) start directory is easier to add to (echo foo >bar -->
can't get any simpler than that!); 4) look and feel are a nice split.
In general, the breakdown of config files encourages the user to
make adjustments as one should when trying/testing things - one change at
a time. With the addition of the forthcoming GUI configurator, most will
not even realize how many config files the app is changing. :) Therefore,
all this (ridiculus) hoopla will be moot (thankfully).
! BTW, I NEED CODERS ... most of 1.4 team vanished. We're now ONLY 3 !
! Volunteers, please mail me !
I am begining to sound like a broken record here, but my hats of
to those who have brought AfterStep to where it is today!
