Enough!  The justification for the directory-structure approach is
compatibility with the GNUstep project.  This has been discussed over &
over again on this list, & is in the archives.  Moreover, there's a whole
section about it in the FAQ.  The FAQ also tells you how to get around it
if you don't like it.

There's a reason it's called _Frequently_ Asked Questions, you know.
