Transparent and Pixmap hilite

I suppose it is safe to assume that one can't have transparent menu and a 
pixmap on hilite, (they kind of cancel each other out), but this would be 
a nice feature to have. Maybe I could monkey with the source, but if 
someone already has a way to do this, or a patch, it would be nice.
