Choose in your menu 

Quit -> Update look and Feel

that should work, if not, copy your look and feel files into
~/G/L/A/non-configureable/desk0/ and name them look.your_color_depth
(i.e. look.16bpp) and feel.your_color_depth. Do that with all desks
you use (desk0, desk1, ...)
