Disappearing windows

Hi all,
I'm looking for some info on why my windows keep disappearing. I'm not
sure when they disappear - I just go looking for them and they're gone.
I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the Clean module (given its
description), but finding out details about it is pretty tough... :-(
I started with the default 'clean' file (from /u/s/a/clean), which
contains the lines:
*Clean 3600 Iconify 1
*Clean 86400 Delete
I then removed the file from my ~/G/L/A directory, but my windows still
disappear.
The really strange thing is that a coworker isn't having any of these
problems (He has a ~/G/L/A/clean file that is a copy of u/s/a/clean).
So... Is Clean the culprit? If not, who is? If it is, how is it being
started? Where can I find documentation about configuring it?
[ IMHO - This behaviour should be off by default, not on ]
afterstep = 1.4.5.3
OS = RedHat Linux, v5.1
Thanks for any info
Ian
