Oy, this is the worst update yet :-). RPMS for RH5.1 AS1.5pre3
should now be available at

WORD OF WARNING: While most everything is geared to store into
/usr/X11R6, there's a few problems in the default config files
that point to the "default" /usr/local/bin. If you are in
a generous mood, a patch to fix these files would help me; I
don't currently have the time to run through and fix them.
Also, to the developers: while it's nice to see the ./configure
script being used, and standard install techniques (simplifies
the RPMing job :-), you should try to find a way to avoid a
interaction ./configure script. For example, the options asking
about default install directors can be passed as arguements to the
script, and some of the things like the default method for setting
the bg of the root window should be done as runtime options, and
not compile time.
