How uncanny, you have almost the exact same system as mine....but I never
had any problems such as the above at all. I did however have my default
bpp setting at 8, so I'd lose and bleed colors with just even Netscape
open, but that was more of an XF86Config problem than AS and I resolved
that pretty quickly. Your problem sounds something more related to the
latter as well. What did you use to configure your X?
