Unfortunately you didn't answer the original poster's question.  He wants
to SWALLOW the same app twice.  I've wanted to do this as well, for
example, if I want to swallow two instances of xosview, for example.  I
think that the swallowed apps may need to have separate binary names or it
won't work.
