Do you mean backgrounds or icons? As for Icons yes, as for backgrounds
haven't tried, heard of anybody trying or asking, nor do I think that
they would look too good.

If you alter the source :).
Otherwise you are stuck with 64x64.

I think that is what is called the Wharf.

AS has no decorations for the sides at all, you can place a pixmap on the
titlebar to corresond to active, inactive, sticky, or the titles of menus.
The bottom has a choise of containing handles or not. I use V1.1 and I am
not certain if the colors are configurable on the frames, but I do know
that the 1.4x versions support this option.

Huh? Are you asking if you can specify the pager to be a 1x4 or whatever
or 4x1 configureation besides a symetrical 2x2 or whatever? If so, yes.
If not I dunno what you are asking.

Huh? Do you mean like a screen shot, or a cutting edge development release?
As for the screen shot, there are numerous ones lying around the web. If
you are asking for an internal thingy in as to make a screen shot, well that
is beyond the scope of a wm. As for developers releases, well betas and
the latest srcs can be obtained from ftp.afterstep.org, you could ask the
current maintainer for more recent stuff if you feel like hastling him.

Short answer no.
Long answer:
I believe that there are a number of animated cursors for windows 95,
you can buy windows at your local wallmart for about 100 bucks for and
upgrade and around 200 for a "full version". If you insist on using
nonstanderd X pointer that as uses, you must A) modify your X library
B) modify the source for as. as is configureable to choose which one
of the 76 pointers available to a standard x distribution including
gumby :)

Please keep in mind that a window manager is just a windowmanager, if
you are looking for too much more you will have to use E or be disapointed.
