i can't seem to figure out how to set the keybindings in newer
versions of afterstep, the way i used to do in my .steprc in 1.0.
1.4.x takes over my keys in the most annoying way, so that netscape
becomes practically unusable because alt-left, alt-right, shift-left,
and shift-right are appropriated by the window manager. there oughta
be a law. ;^)

secondly, how do i make a single desktop with 3x3 screens with the
pager, the way i used to? it seems to only give you the option of
creating a number of *desktops*, each with a 2x2 set of screens. i
want to be able to do what i've always done, navigate around all my
screens with ctrl-[up|down|left|right]. alternately, is there a way
to switch to another desktop without using the mouse?

thanks for any help you can give,
