Thanks for the response. I downloaded the 1.4.55 rpm and extracted the wharf. I named it
newWharf and placed it in /usr/bin/X11. The next step is to get it started. Since it wants
to be started from within AS, i looked into my .steprc file. In my .steprc file, following
the AS FAQ for multiple wharves, I started a new modulle section "Module newWharf". I know
that newWharf will look other places for configuration, so I didn't add anything else. I
configured G/L/A/wharf to my liking and since I didn't see any line for pixmap paths I ensured
that G/L/A/desktop was present too.

After all of that, I can't get AS1.1 to start the newWharf. I tried it as described above. I
edited G/L/A/wharf and changed all instances of Wharf to newWharf and saved it as wharf. I
then saved this file as newWharf. Nothing worked. I tried launching a 2nd v1.1 wharf
following the FAQ and that worked. What chould be hanging v1.4.55 wharf up? Also, where can
I find the error logs from AS so I can try to track this down further?

A patch would be great if it isn't a problem :)

thanks for the help...
