Yep, you need to hold down the mouse button to keep the menu up. There
really isn't much difference between the new and old behavior, except
that submenus don't pop up from a pinned menu (unlike the old MCLICK
mode). To see why this is useful, think about this:
Say you had two xterms open, and a pinned menu in between them. You
want to move from one xterm to the other, but in doing so, you cross
the pinned menu. If submenus pop up, you could have half your screen
covered with submenus before you realize your mistake. ;)
