I have a similar, though not identical, issue: when I moved to 1.4.5.55N6,
asmail ceased working. It had been in my wharf, but now the tile is blank
(but has its full background XPM; moreover, the AS logo tile is also
blanked, and even the background XPM is missing (so I just have a blank
grey box). When I remove asmail from the wharf file, the problem goes
away.
Invoking asmail on its own gives the following error:
X Error of failed request: BadName (named color or font does not exist)
Major opcode of failed request: 45 (X_OpenFont)
Serial number of failed request: 73
Current serial number in output stream: 74
Now, it looks like this is a problem with either colours or fonts. I'm
running at 32bpp, though, so it can't be a colour. I've all the standard
X fonts. Did 1.4.5.55N change something?
