Q:wharf 1.4.5.3 in AS1.0?

Does anybody know of any reason why wharf 1.4.5.3 would not work in AS1.0?  I am 
interested in the new swallow features (mainly fullswallow) but am quite content 
with v1.0 as a whole.

What sort of changes have been made in regards to configuring.  Can the wharf 
1.4 configuration be wedged into my .steprc, or will i need other config files 
in the G/L/A/... format.  If it is the latter, what files are required?
