ASCD Problem

Hello,
I have a problem with ascd:

I run AS-1.4.5.2 on Linux-2.1.99 and if I load afterstep and I don't
have a CD insert into my CDRom the icon in wharf doesn't appear
correctly.  A grey square is at the place of the AS CDplayer.

I have tried these lines:
*Wharf - - Swallow "ascd" /usr/X11R6/bin/ascd -d /dev/cdrom &
*Wharf "cd" nil Swallow "ascd" /usr/X11R6/bin/ascd -d /dev/cdrom &
*Wharf ascd - MaxSwallowModule "ascd" /usr/X11R6/bin/ascd -d /dev/cdrom &

...and they all did the same thing.
