Hey,

I've seen this problem with very few applications.  This can be fixed by adding
a line to your ~/GNUstep/Library/AfterStep/database file.  For example

Style   "nedit"         Icon /usr/local/icons/text.xpm

What this does is when an application called nedit is iconified
the default icon (or a lack of it :) gets replaced by what comes after the Icon
word.  I don't remember which programs caused the trouble but they were all
fixed by adding a line in database file.  Of course you would need the icon for
the application somewhere but that shouldn't be a problem.
