I tried ls --color=tty on my xterms, and got color. You might try an
nxterm instead, or xterm-color, or color-xterm (do a "which xterm" and go
to that directory, then do a "ls *term*"). If they work, then reconfigure
wharf to bring these up each time instead of a plain old xterm.
For the winlist, to change it's geometry setting so that it displays in
the lower left corner, try changing the *WinListGeometry setting in the
winlist config file (which is called winlist) +0-0. Do a "man WinList"
for more info. The "Style" command in the feel files takes a programname
and lots of options, one of which is NoIcon. You can use wildcards, too.
To make no icons for any program at all, add this line:
Style "*" NoIcon
If you already have a Style "*" ... line, just add the NoIcon argument.
If there is some program which should be an exception to the NoIcon
clause, make a separate style line for it, and add the option Icon to
reset the NoIcon argument. You might also want to specify a particular
icon for it at that point. By the way, I'm getting all of this from the
afterstep manpage, so you can probably fill in any gaps from there. And
while I just tried the stuff I told you on my AfterStep installation,
evidently there are discrepancies between configuring the winlist, at
least.
Hope this helps,
-Paul
