'allo,
I have had AfterStep 1.4.5.3 for a couple of weeks and am only now getting
to playing with it (exams and work are a pain in life hacking isnt though).
how the hell do I get the background image to stop appearing everytime i
restart the window manager ? All i get is a black background with the XV logo
in the middle of the root window. I dont want it. I like the ugly default X
background. I do not seem to be doing anything in the Restart and Init
functions.
How do i stop the cursor from ending up in the window that i am uniconofying ?
Another thing about AS. Why abandon the usage of a single file in favour of
using the file system to represent the Start menu ? It is something they do
under Microsoft Internet Explorer for Solaris as well adn it plain sucks. You
start marking bookmarks left and right and eventually the file system runs out
of inodes on that partiton which besides the point that the more you have the
slower in startup it becomes.
later,
mehul
p.s GA --> Another week and I should have some of those things I pormised out
to you.
