Actually, GTK+ v1.0 was just released. Nice toolkit. QT has some serious
limitations, like the inability to display Japanese or other 2-byte
characters (or to even change the font foundry at all), and its reliance
on C++... coding things in C++ makes them slower than if you code in
straight C, and C++ libs like qt aren't compatible with straight C.
