Subject: ideas

take a look to the attached [text]

Hard to code, easy to say ... :)

1=B0) Title bar:
-------------

3 pixmaps: 1 for the left, 1 for the center, 1 for the right corner
or with vertical title bar, 1 for the top, 1 for the center, 1 for the
bottom.

-> it would give the ability to have a more configurable look=20
   for the title bar

-> the same thing for bottom bar (in case of no Frames ?)

2=B0) Buttons (iconify etc ...):
-----------------------------

Remove all the codes for buttons to buttons.c as with frames.c

In look file, add an option: TitleButtonWilde 1
and with TitleButton:=20

number, pixmaps on, pixmaps off, -/+x, -/+y, -/+dx,-/+dy

-/+ x and -/+y give the placement as for iconbox.
for example: +x,+y give the origine of the draw of the pixmap=20
according to the top left corner of the window

and -dx , dx pixels before the x corner of the top left window
and +dy , dy pixels after the y corner of the top left window

-> It would give the ability to have button "where we want" near
   the window, and a better look.

3=B0) Frames:
----------

Alternative frames for little windows with little frames.

4=B0) Frames (others frames) for menu window.
------------------------------------------

5=B0) Ability to have a extended draw of pixmap:
---------------------------------------------
for title bar, for menu (and menu item etc...),=20
for frames (north etc..) and not just a draw of=20
the pixmap and if it is necessary, a redraw of=20
the pixmap in order to cover the length of the window.

For example, today:  =20
    ss--ss is the pixmap:

    +-------------------------------+
    |ss--ssss--ssss--ssss--ssss--ss-|
    +-------------------------------+

 tomorrow (?):

    +-------------------------------+
    |sssssssss-------------sssssssss|
    +-------------------------------+

the ss--ss pixmap is "=E9tir=E9" (! sorry in french)
to the entire length of the target rectangle window

-> it would give more beatiful look for window,
   especially for menu, without being boried with
   the length of the text.
   The result would give a better look (i think).

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, i'm not a coder (sniff !)
i'm just a "lover" of the AfterStep
window manager.
