ViewportX x
defines coordinate of the left side of the screen in virtual desk, where
AS
should go to, before opening up application's window. That allows you to
start application on particular page of the desk. x is measured in
pixels,
so if you want application's window to appear in the second column of
pages
on the desk - you should put you screen size in there. For instance, if
your screen
is 1024x768, then you put
ViewportX 1024
for the second column of pages,
ViewportX 2048
for the third column of pages, and so on...
It need not equal to you screen size, you can put any value in there,
moving your
screen around desk in fractures of page size.
ViewportY y
defines coordinate of the top side of the screen in virtual desk, where
AS
should go to, before opening up application's window. That allows you to
start application on particular page of the desk. y is measured in
pixels,
so if you want application's window to appear in the second row of pages
on the desk - you should put you screen size in there. For instance, if
your screen
is 1024x768, then you put
ViewportY 768
for the second row of pages,
ViewportX 1536
for the third row of pages, and so on...
It need not equal to you screen size, you can put any value in there,
moving your
screen around desk in fractures of page size.
Combined together ViewportX and ViewportY defines exact page where
window
should be opened up. You can also use them individually, which will
cause
AfterStep to move only the dimension specified.
For example :
ViewportX 1024
will only move screen horizontally, leaving vertical position intact.
