Building beta6 wasn't much of a problem (doing the final buildall now),
however, there is one thing that needs to be fixed before 1.5 final release:
the Makefile at the top level does not use all the nice variable defines
that are present in the other levels of the Makefile dir, and thus, it's
forcing itself to write the share dir in only one place.  This should be 
modified to use variables, and specifically for the share dir 
installation.
