Thank you for your comp.os.linux.announce article!

Comp.os.linux.announce is a moderated USENET newsgroup, which means
that all articles are screened by the moderator (that's me) before
they are sent to the newsgroup.

The purpose of this mail is to inform you that your article
has arrived to the moderator's mailbox. If I think it is
suitable for the group, I will post it. If the article is not
suitable, for example, if it isn't an announcement at all, I will
just throw it away (i.e., if you sent it by mistake, you can now
forget it; no apologies are needed). If it _is_ an announcement,
but I don't think it is appropriate, I will send it back with an
	explanation.

If your article was crossposted to other groups, note that
it hasn't and won't appear in any of them. Also note that I
will remove all cross-posts before the article is posted to
comp.os.linux.announce, except in very rare occasions.	If your
article needs to be posted in several groups, please post it once
to each moderated group, and once for all other groups (i.e.,
don't cross-post to moderated groups, since that makes it harder
for moderators, if they want to preserve the cross-posting).
(Your news software should tell you if a group is moderated.
The list of newsgroups posted to news.announce.newgroups also
	contains this information.)

	All articles in comp.os.linux.announce contain a Followup-To
header to divert replies away from the my mailbox. If you failed
to include such a header, I will invent one (one of the Linux
newsgroups). It would be nice if you include a header the
next time. (You don't need to add it and re-send it.)

If you included a Linux Software Map (LSM) entry, please remember
to send it also to the LSM Robot at lsm@execpc.com,
so that it will be included in the master LSM database. (Actually,
it is better to send it to the Robot first, because the Robot
checks the entry for superficial syntactic problems.)

I'm sometimes very busy with other things, so please be patient
if it takes me a few days to get it posted. Please wait a couple
of days until you query. If you have something urgent, please
include the word "URGENT" in the subject.

Comp.os.linux.announce is also available via e-mail by a
news-to-mail gateway operated at MIT. To receive announcements
by mail, send mail to Linux-Announce-Request@NEWS-DIGESTS.MIT.EDU
with the word "subscribe" (without the quotes) as the first line
of the message (nothing else on the line). (Note that I
don't operate that list, and can't help you with any problems
	with it. Sorry.)

If you want to get the comp.os.linux.announce help file,
check out the WWW page at http://www.iki.fi/mjr/linux/cola.html.

	Have a nice day.

	Mikko Rauhala, mjr@iki.fi, moderator.
