Hi,

The last couple of days, I've been using my mcmail account in order to
get around the problem.

I couldn't set just the domain, because my mail account is under a
different name than my login name here. (That is, my mail address is now
asullivan@sprint.ca, but I use ajsulliv on this machine in order to make
it easy to rlogin to my mcmail account -- where my login name is ajsulliv.
Bother!) So, what I had to do was either set up procmail and/or sendmail
in order to masquerade properly (I should have done this, because it would
make me learn sendmail configuration), or recompile pine to allow changing
the from: line. I wanted to do the latter, since I knew it would be quick
and dirty; but I didn't have the source. So, I downloaded 4.02; well,
wouldn't uou know it, it just won't compile here. I dunno why.
Fortunately, there's a way around this on pine 4.02 in the binaries
anyway, so I just go tht ebinary. Now I'm working correctly. Phew!

In any case, thanks for the help.

Yours,
A
