I forgot to tell ou :
xaa to xcb are splited uuencodes, to get a full .tar.bz2 do the following :
cat xaa > AfterStep.1.5.tar.bz2.uue
cat xab >> AfterStep.1.5.tar.bz2.uue
cat xac >> AfterStep.1.5.tar.bz2.uue
(etc, you can use a shell script but pay attention to errors)

Then type :
uudecode AfterStep.1.5.tar.bz2.uue

(then bunzip2 AfterStep-1.5.tar.bz2 ; tar -xvf AfterStep-1.5.tar)
