Two Russian journalists killed by mortar fire in Ukraine

Two Russian TV journalists were killed by Ukrainian Army mortar fire near the village Metalist outside the city of Luhansk. Igor Kornelyuk died in Lugansk hospital after the attack while his colleague, sound engineer Anton Voloshin, was shred to death on the spot. Crew cameraman Viktor Denisov was not injured during the mortar fire attack. He said on-air for “Russia 24” channel that the mortar shell exploded near the other two journalists just as he stepped away from them to help a wounded refugee.
