Detailed work history
=====================

1993 - 1996
-----------

Test, customer support and development engineer at Alcatel Bell. In
1993-1994 I was test and customer support engineer at the Packet Switching
department of Alcatel Bell. Performed customer application engineering,
protocol and integration tests, provided customer support for the X.25
networks. In 1994-1995 - a development engineer for the Videotex Access
Point project at Alcatel Bell. Designed and implemented the back-end for a
windows- and menus-oriented operator interface for the Videotex server. In
1995-1996 I became a development engineer for the Full Service Networks
project at Alcatel Bell. Performed the technical design and coding of
several software modules of the product.


1996 - 2000
-----------

Research and development engineer at Sony Software Development Center Europe
(formerly known as Sony Telecom Europe). I worked for the Media
Highway project in collaboration with Canal+. I  also selected and 
installed the project's satellite broadcast and modem networks.

I performed the high-level and low-level design and implementation of the
Digital Networked Platform (formerly Interactive Videocommunication System)
Control Software, development environment and applications.
Principally responsible for the design of the security and billing subsystems.

Performed the design and development of frameworks for device driver
programming for the Aperios operating system.

2000 - 2001
-----------

The founder and the manager of Information Technology Security 
Certification project.
Performing the certification of Sony products for security
according to the ISO 15408 standard. The certification includes
negotiating with the developers and evaluation and certification 
authorities, analyzing the design and source code, installing
and verifying secure policies and practices for the whole chain
from R&D down to production and distribution.

Technical expert for Belgium in ISO SC17/WG8 Contactless smart cards.

Since 2001
----------

Sony Secure Communications Europe is a European branch of
Sony Corporation, FeliCa Division. The company is responsible 
for the West and East European markets for existing smart 
card products as well as developing the strategies for new
security related products and services using the expertise and
technologies from the smart card development. I am the manager.

Technical expert for Belgium in ISO SC17/WG8 Contactless smart cards.
Participating in the work of the European Technical Standards 
Institute (ETSI), author of the ES 202 007 standard.
Representative of Sony to the European Computer Manufacturers
Association (ECMA).
Sony representative to the NFC Forum industry association, where
I keep several key positions.
